More pics

This bracelet is starter as a simple one and narrow - and fast - bracelet...
Here is what happened: I turned a few times and just kept beading and ended up with this wide
and not so fast to bead bracelet.

It's quite sparkly (nearly 250 Swarovski bicones) and also have some weight.
As you can see it is reversible, and makes a statement whichever side you use.

This was the first time I used Tila as some kind of frame bead.
It was fun to bead, involved some modified RAW and also cross needle wave.

Tutorial is in my shop and also on Etsy and Artfire.

Only pictures - no time to write

I'm only showing you a few things I finished recently, I don't have time to write. Less than 2 weeks to move 15 km away (to my family) and less 1 month to move 1800 km away (back to Essex) OMG. I did not pack anything yet. OMG. I don't even want to think about it. So let's see some pics rather....

The bronze version of Funky Margareta

The colorful version of the same pendant

And here they are together.

PS: Tutorial is in my shop and also on ETSY

Still addicted

... to Tila. Now I managed to combine all the 3 things I'm fascinated about into one piece: Peyote Tila Bangle

Little bit wider than my Boho Banlge but it has the same flexibility, very easy to put on & take off. Tomorrow I'll start the tutorial, hopefully will finish it by Wednesday.

New tutorial - new game - same rules
You can try my newest tutorial for free if the random number generator likes you :)
Please leave a comment under this post and share it on your blog or Facebook profile / page. You will have 3 days to do so, the game will end on Thursday evening 20:00 pm (Central European Time: GMT +1).

Good luck everybody!

We've got a winner...

The lucky winner is Rae Lynn, she left the 4th comment (not counting the advert as second comment):

Congratulation, hope you will like it!

PS: The next tutorial will be done in a few days, if you like to try something cool, you can play for the tutorial again. Details in the next post :)

Tila Ribbon

I'm usually more regular with my posts but right now life is just happening way too fast... We picked the date: 8th of January: we are permanently moving back to the UK. I'm doing this moving between countries third time. I think I had enough for a while ;)
Anyway, this is the explanation why I'm so not posting anything. Honestly, I'm happy I can still find some time for beading... Not even talking about all the other things I should get done before we move. I hope I will hafve more time for my "e-social life" after we settled down again.
And until then here is my newest design, a simple and very fast project:

Tila Ribbon

Tutorial is in my Etsy Shop

Also, if you want to try this tutorial for free, please leave a comment under this post and share it on your blog or Facebook.
Just like last time, one randomly picked lucky commenter will get Tila Ribbon.
This game will end at 20:00 (Central European Time) on Sunday.
Good luck everybody :)
Hugs, Viki

More Tila stuff and future new game

Okay, you could say I'm in kind of a Tila-fever and you have not even seen the stuff on my beading trays waiting to be shown. These little tricky squares got built in to my mind and keep my imagination occupied. I honestly don't mind it at least I'm concentrating something less stressful then swapping country in January...
Okay, here is the next one, which is technically the first one but had a very crap picture due to lack of sunshine and patience.
This one is called "Tila Time" but I'm kind of getting bored of my choice of names as far as Tila stuff is concerned. (Guess what, I also have one on my try called Tila Ribbon. May be I could just use T.Ribbon, like a decent family name.)

So, back to the main stuff, I have the tutorial for this one in my Etsy shop, but sorry guys you still have to wait for my other Tila bracelet I posted yesterday. The graphics are done for the tutorial, only instructions are missing and will finish that tomorrow.

Also I have something in my mind about a new game as the first game I had on my blog was extremely successful. I'm still getting huge hit on THAT post with the free Peyote patterns. Well, obviously I can't give away all my patterns for free to everybody, but I will do for on lucky guy (randomly picked of course) who will comment on my future post - I will post when I finished the tutorial - and shares it with others. Okay, this was one complex and long sentence. The point is, I will make a blog post probably tomorrow about the new tutorial and just leave a comment and post it on your blog or Facebook and you can be the winner of my newest tutorial.
We will see how it goes and I may do this game for my other new tutorials too. What do you think?

Bead therapy

Due to some not-so-nice eye infection I had to limit my computer usage in the last few days.
I beaded instead.

This one called Tila Treasure.

The beads actually look like gems around the Tila beads.

In lovely matt and metallic autumn colors.

This time I tried to make something less vivid yet colorful.

Hope you like it, guys. As always, I'm very happy to read your thoughts about my work.

Re-born Blog

Our website is going to get a completely different look and after we went through the design and the layout with Allan I thought I could change the colors on my blog to match. I planned it to be like a five minutes project, like "pick the color hit the save button" style - I should know myself better by now...

I spent the whole - by the way gray and rainy - day fiddling with the blog. It's worth every second. And now it's DONE. (For a while anyway.) And I'm bloody proud of it. Not only because it looks cool (I think it does, anyway, so be careful with the critic...) but because I designed everything on it with my own two hands. Okay, just one + a Bamboo pen. I made our new logo, the buttons and the frames, the whole shebang.

I so like to be me today.

Now that I have a cool blog hopefully I'll be here more often to keep it up to date. Please leave me some (positive) comment about the new look and let me know what you really think!

Hyper mood - when you can't put down the thread...

I have many things to show you guys and guess what, I made all of these in the last two weeks!
I'm full with ideas and can't put down the thread.
The gods love me for sure.
Or I'm just lucky enough to LOVE my work.

I got too many pictures to post them in one blog post so will write one for each of them.
First I made this triangle pendant about one and a half week ago (I know, shame on me not posting photos immediately). I started with a red-gold-metallic pink combination:

and it turned out to be so much fun to bead that I made the blue - pale pink version on the same day (night):

After I finished the second pendant I realized I forgot to write notes about the steps - again...
So here comes the third pendant because I needed those notes... :

Hope you like them - or at least one of them.
I love all of them, but that's okay, their my sweet kids :)
I'm still working on a bracelet tutorial (more about this one later) but after I finished that I will start the triangles.

Will be back soon with more pictures. Have a great Tuesday!

My summer holiday and my not two-faced pendants

First of all I have to warn you this is going to be a LONG post.
So, my summer holiday happened to be this weekend. No kidding. It was not planed or anything and I did not even leave my flat other than getting stuffs from the local store but I had the laziest 3 days since I moved back to Hungary. On Saturday I even watched two of my favourite films: Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility. On Sunday I partially watched life of Brian. Meaning: my sister was watching it and to see the parts I particularly love I rushed to the living room every 10-15 minutes. You can guess not much work was done that day...
But no doubt, magic happens because beside all the laziness + my sister being here on holiday + my Babe is going slightly hyper because of the heat I still managed to do some beading. Okay technically nothing new (only the colors), but you don't have to know about that, do you? Did I mention my mission about getting the tutorial done for all my pendants?

I will start with the end result, and than the story how I got there:

You may remember this pendant I uploaded to my blog some time ago: I used to call it Brigid but I just could not get used to it, so I had to find a different name. More about this later.

I started to bead a second color version for the tutorial. That was particularly hot day so I went for the cold colors. It turned out like an ice cube pendant. At this time I noticed how different the front from the back. Funnily enough when I uploaded it to my Facebook page I got most of the nice comment on the BACK of the pendant :)

I thoght maybe they can't see the front because all the similar color beads. No problem, I have more beads to use. The result is below:

Now they (my FB friends) liked Both side. From this moment my pendant did not have a front and a back side, it had two front sides instead :)  I turned to Allan and said I'm in trouble with the name. I REALLY can't call this "Two face", can I? It is just so negative... Allan said why not call them Gemini then? So let me introduce you to my new pendant

This is the last version, with all opaque beads. The closest to my heart right now. (I gave up sayin "my favourite" a long time ago. I had too many...) I did this to see wether I could use Swarovski cubes instead of Miyuki. It worked out as you can see :)
This is the first front side:

And this is the second front side:

I think this last version shows how different the two sides are.
Right now I'm working on the tutorial, I'm about half way done.

Hope you will like Gemini and will be fun and joy to bead it up :)
Have a great Tuesday!

Artfire collection - with my pendant!

Guess what! I was just checking my inbox on Artfire, and noticed that I have an unread message I completely overlooked in the last two weeks or so.
Anyway, the message cheered me up immediately:
I was included in this fantastic collection on Artfire!
Well, to be more precise, my Gothic style Asteria pendant was included, not me as I'm not selling myself...

ArtFire Beadweavers Guild Reds

You can check out this very cool collection curated by KraftyMax
(thank you, thank you, thank you KraftyMax!) by clicking on title under the image.
Please feel free to rate and don't forget to leave a nice comment :)

I'll be back soon as I have a few new pendants to show you :)

Have a wonderful day!

Petals and cubes

This sweet pendant started as a logical decision to do something with my Miyuki cubes. I really love them, in fact I love them so much I have a whole box of them in all different colors and finishes. But be honest: beside the fact that they don't look that good in a plastic box I really intended to use them.
Sometime. Somewhere.
I started to play around with these pretty cubes back in May, just before we moved and I managed to come up with the idea of the petal, but really did not like how they were around the rivoli. Now I'm on a mission to finish the tutorial for ALL of my pendants I designed this year (yep, I'm addicted, once I'm beading, hard to stop it to make tutorials...) and found this little bit ugly looking flower pendant.
I really loved the colors together so decided to give it a facelift. Literally. As I moved the petals one row lower in the bezel the rivoli looked bigger and more dominant. Really loved the result:

After I finished the purple-pink rather girlish flower I wanted something elegant, and really loved how the frosted teal flower turned out. These frosted colors go so very well with the sparkling rivolis, don't you think?

I could have been satisfied with these too, and start to work on the tutorial but I felt something was missing :) After the fashion-pink and the elegant-teal I just had to try this one to satisfy my joyful "Me"

Mission accomplished!
I was really happy with my new pendants and also got good comments on my Facebook page so it was time to open my graphics program to do all the diagrams and drawings. I was surprised how easy it was now, that I knew every step by heart. I should not postpone the tutorials in the future, it is so much easier to do straight after the beading part is done! Always learn something new, don't we?
Yesterday night I managed to finish the tutorial and listed it in my ETSY shop, here:

But that's not all to it. I also decided to run a 15% off discount in my tutorial shop to celebrate that me and my beads found each other again. To receive the discount for your entire order in my tutorials shop use this code:

Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday.

This little sparkling square pendant kept me busy in the last few days.
I just finished the tutorial, it's now available in my ETSY shop:

Soon it will be also available in my ARTFIRE store and on few other sites
to keep those beady fingers busy.

Hope you will like it as much as I do.

Have a great day!
